Production, Processing, and Food Uses of Peanut Oilseed, Oil,
Peanut oil is considered as a premium edible oil and commands a high price in both US and European markets. In 2018, peanut oil sold for US$1470/MT in the United States and for US$1326 in Rotterdam. Peanut oil is recovered primarily by expeller pressing or in combination with hexane extraction. Only four plants process peanut oil in the United
It’s a business production powerhouse that does more than just squeeze oil out of peanuts. It streamlines the entire process and results in a high-quality, accurate product The automatic peanut oil Press is a popular model. It’s renowned for its efficiency, able to process 18-20 Kg/Hr. Peanut Oil Processing Technology
The conditioned peanut kernels are transported by a conveyor to the twin-screw press for cold pressing; the cold-pressed crude oil and cold-pressed peanut meal with low denaturation will be obtained. After the cold-pressed crude oil is filtered with frame filter, product oil is obtained, which will be packaged by a filling machine to form cold-pressed peanut oil products ( Fig. 3.8 ).
Comparative evaluation of the kneading process using same quantity of groundnut (i.e. 6.5kg) revealed that average percent oil extracted was 34.7% with the mechanical kneader, whilst it was 26.4%
Peanut Processing Equipment
Peanuts, also known as groundnuts are one of the most popular edible seeds in the world. You can eat them as-is or process them further into on-the-shelf products like peanut butter, oil, snacks, and soups. Depending on what you want to make, some peanut manufacturing processes include roasting, frying, boiling, grinding, pressing, and coating
Step 1: Cleaning. After harvesting groundnut are received at processing facilities. Batches of harvested peanuts will contain whole peanuts in the shell, some shelled peanuts, and foreign objects (e.g., leaves, nodes, weed seed, etc.). The peanuts are then cleaned using cleaning machine so that oil is not contaminated with foreign materials.
Groundnut Oil Mill Plant

Our groundnut oil extraction machines are successfully running in India, Nigeria, Tanzania, Chad, Senegal, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Niger, Ghana, Sudan, Mali, Burkina Faso
Peanut press machines, like those manufactured by Royal Duyvis Wiener, are the heart of peanut oil production. The process begins with raw materials, primarily peanut kernels. These are fed into the peanut press machine via a feed inlet, and the magic starts to happen. The machine applies pressure on the peanuts, resulting in oil being
- What equipment is used for cold pressing of peanut oil?
- Figure 3.8. Flow chart of equipment for cold pressing of peanut oil. 2. First, a sheller is used to shell the peanuts, and then the peanut kernels are transported to the low-temperature drying oven to be dried after being subjected to precleaning, gravity/magnetic separation de-stoner cleaning, and grading.
- How to make peanut oil in China?
- Currently, there are two pressing methods: high-temperature pressing and cold pressing. More than 90% of oil production in China adopts the traditional technique of high-temperature pressing, and the peanut oil produced with this method has a strong fragrant flavor and is therefore greatly favored by consumers.
- What technology is used in peanut oil production?
- It starts by explaining the pretreatment technology and peanut pressing technology of high temperature and cold pressing peanut oil. It then discusses the peanut oil extraction technology, which includes leaching and separation technology. At the end of the chapter, it discusses the peanut oil production line and the relevant key equipment. 3.1.
- How peanuts are used in China?
- Among the total peanuts for consumption in China, more than 50% of peanuts are used for oil production, which has become the main pattern of peanut consumption in China. Currently, there are two pressing methods: high-temperature pressing and cold pressing.
